[S1E5] Social Love

The previous episode featured Danna and Brian growing closer and dreaming of their future in Galway, while tension rose between Philip and Carmen after the latter found provocative content on his social media.

Max is also getting a lecture on reconciliation, as Mendel attempts to convince his son to fight for Clara's heart. In what is possibly the best scene all season, Mendel talks about how love isn't a chemical reaction, but a choice. Oskar also thinks Max should go back to Clara, as they spend a calm evening playing billiards. Unfortunately, these words fall on deaf ears. Max is already running to Amelia to tell her he's no longer engaged, and he thinks he's in love with her. Max might be good at solving crimes but solving his life, not so much. Clara, recognizing she's dodging a bullet, makes it official and gives Max back his ring.

But it works. Staring at the boys in silence pulls confessions, from one boy's small-time "I stole a strudel," to Wolf admitting he bullies the boys who don't fit in. Finally, one kid snaps. There was a note Zelenka wrote, to "His Beloved." In it, he said he was running away to meet his love. They would go to his family and expose the terrible things happening at the school. Zelenka wasn't hazed to death, nor was this a suicide or accident. He was murdered to cover up the school's horrible practices.

Iggy's time with Rhonda had him feeling hopeless as he thought about life and all that ails society. He also found ways to connect by using his own family. It's lovely how the show casually slips in bits and pieces about each of the characters in such an organic way.

Max is the right person to be in her corner and add support to her while she's dealing with her fertility issues. Their hug was the sweetest, and their chemistry is undeniable at this point. I love the bond that they have formed, and it's one of if not the best of the series so far.

Anyway, they head over to this woman, Priya, and find a whole bunch of photos up on her wall. These are all printouts from social media, including parties and important clues that could help piece together what happened that night.

It doesn't stop there, however. Marsh reveals that he doesn't love Bette and only comes over to her house for a free meal and so that he can have sex with her 21-year-old son. Kate opens up to Mark about the problems in her relationship with Garry and the two start openly flirting. Jude and Bette get closer, both emotionally and physically. The ruby starts to bring out buried desires and instincts and soon everyone is hooking up with each other.

This episode of Love Life was heart wrenching. Anyone who has felt the pain of rejection can sympathize with Darby, hoping that in some future episode, she finds the love and happiness she obviously wants so badly.

10 episodes in the first season and no plans for a second season being announced as of yet, maybe Darby will find her true love by the end of season one. Without knowing what the future holds for the series, hopeless romantics like myself will have to hope for the best.

Initially after watching the first episode entitled Augie Jeong, similarities to another HBO original from years ago, Sex and the City come to mind, but it deserves more credit than that. Yes, it is about a girl in New York looking for love, but this series has a younger vibe to it and seems more innocent, where Sex and the City, and its characters, seemed more jaded.

Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that aired on the Fox network in the United States. It focuses on the William McKinley High School glee club New Directions competing on the show choir competition circuit, while its members deal with relationships, sexuality and social issues. The show was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, and features many cover versions of songs performed on-screen by the characters.[1] Murphy is responsible for selecting all of the songs used, and strives to maintain a balance between show tunes and chart hits, as he wants there to be "something for everybody in every episode".[2] Once Murphy selects a song, rights are cleared with its publishers by music supervisor P.J. Bloom, and music producer Adam Anders rearranges it for the Glee cast.[3] Numbers are pre-recorded by the cast, while choreographer Zach Woodlee constructs the accompanying dance moves, which are then taught to the cast and filmed.[2] Studio recordings of tracks are then made. The process begins six to eight weeks before each episode is filmed, and can end as late as the day before filming begins.[3]

There's a reason we've never seen William and Christina in the same place. While we were led to believe he is her henchman (and possible lover), in actuality Christina and William are one and the same. Christina has been using the same potion "William" gives Ruby in the hopes that she can take over the lodge that is rightfully hers from Captain Lancaster. With the potion, Christina is able to be herself "uninterrupted," however it's still to be seen if Christina sees her true form as William, Christina, or something else entirely. After all, William does have that demonic branding on his chest. 041b061a72
